Volunteer of the Month sponsored by Team Connection

Each month, USTA North Carolina will celebrate a tennis volunteer who is doing something to promote and develop the growth of tennis. From grass-roots community activists to family volunteers, on-court instructors to behind-the-scenes volunteers, these are the people who make tennis happen. Nominate someone today!

All we need is the volunteer's name, a paragraph or two explaining why they deserve to be recognized and, if possible, a small picture of the volunteer. Send your nominations to awards@nctennis.com.

July 2010 Volunteer of the Month: Sara Worth Hodges

Sara Worth HodgesSara Worth Hodges is a high school sophomore from Rocky Mount, who worked as a volunteer for one week prior and during the 2010 North Carolina USTA Jr. Team Tennis State Championships. She helped us tremendously and the event was more successful because of the help she provided. She did everything from organizing the coaches and players packets to entering information in the TennisLink program. She always had a smile on her face, even when asked to do less the exciting things like making copies and running from site to site collecting score cards.

Past Selections:

The "Volunteer of the Month" is sponsored by Team Connection and each recipient will receive a $25 gift certificate for their service. The North Carolina Tennis Service Recognition Committee selects recipients the first week of each month.
