North Carolina High School Coaches Workshop

2017 Workshop

USTA North Carolina and UNCG teamed up with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association to organize this year's High School Coaches Workshop! Over 150 coaches from around the state attended the on-court clinic and participated in various drills and training exercises, while more than 300 coaches attended the classroom session. This workshop covered everything from correct player form and technique, to properly managing practices.

On behalf of UNCG, the NCHSAA, and USTA North Carolina, we would like to thank every coach who attended this clinic. We cannot thank you enough for all that you do for tennis in our state. We would also like to recognize our guest speaker, Bert Poole (Head Men’s and Women’s tennis coach at Averett University), and the coaches and tennis pros who led the stations during the on-court clinic: Lane Evans (Champion Hills Club), Andrew Tuttle (Cardinal Gibbons HS), Larry Karageanes (Club & Resort Tennis Services), Barbara Fry (Northern Guilford HS), Tom Cascarano (Greensboro Country Club), and Kathy Hatt (Weddington HS).
