The Winston-Salem Open returns this year from August 16-22 with a week packed with programming and events for tennis at every level. USTA North Carolina is proud to collaborate with the Winston-Salem Open to help grow the game, provide inclusive tennis experiences and celebrate the people who make this sport thrive.
Below, we've broken the Community Events and Coaching Events that are happening throughout the week with links for registration. Join us on and off the court to be apart of one of the biggest weeks of tennis in the state.
Community Events
Saturday, August 16: Kids Day
Join us for Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital Kids' Day, one of the most popular events of the week! Kids ages 6–12 can enjoy fun, tennis-based activities alongside special guests at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Field. Registered participants also receive a free ticket to the tournament’s opening day.
Sunday, August 17: 10 and Under Camp
Team NC’s 10U GO Camp is designed for intermediate to advanced 10U players navigating the ranked tournament path. Hosted at Hanes Park from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., this is a great opportunity for growth and match preparation.

Sunday, August 17: Middle School Day
Middle schoolers of all skill levels are invited to participate in a day of drilling, match play, and engagement with USTA professionals at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center. Each participant receives a complimentary match ticket and meal voucher.
Sunday, August 17 & Thursday, August 21: High School Days
High school players can choose between two sessions of fun, low-pressure games and drills led by certified coaches. Hosted at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center. Ticket and meal voucher included.
Monday, August 18: Wheel Serve NC Play Day
Celebrate adaptive tennis at the annual Wheel Serve NC Play Day from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Watch athletes from across the state in a round robin format that brings both seated and standing players together.

Tuesday, August 19: Earlier.org Clinic
Support breast cancer research at this impactful clinic benefiting Earlier.org. Enjoy tennis with ATP pros, lunch by Panera Bread, and a complimentary ticket to the afternoon session.

Tuesday, August 19: USTA Member Appreciation Day
USTA members are invited to a Member Appreciation Reception on the 4th floor of South McCreary Tower from 4:30–6:00 p.m. Enjoy food, beverages, and giveaways—just show your USTA ID to enter.
Wednesday, August 20: Abilities Tennis Clinic
Join Abilities Tennis of NC on Practice Courts 1 & 2 from 4:30–5:30 p.m. This adaptive clinic fosters inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities, bringing fitness and fun together through tennis.
Friday, August 22: College Tennis Alumni Night
Calling all former varsity and club players! Reconnect with old teammates and meet new ones at our College Tennis Alumni Tailgate from 5:00–6:30 p.m. before Friday night’s semifinal matches.
Food, drinks, games, and free match tickets to the first 30 attendees!
Coaching Events
Saturday & Sunday, August 16–17: Hispanic Coaches Workshop (Spanish)
Hosted by USTA Southern, the 5th Annual Hispanic Coaches Conference features Inaki Baldoza and Tito Perez. Spanish-speaking coaches will gain practical instruction and attend the Coaching Courtside Series on Sunday.
Sunday, August 17: USTA Coaching Courtside Series
A FREE event for all pros and coaches! Includes breakfast and a ticket to Sunday’s tournament matches. Hear firsthand about USTA’s vision for coaching development.
Friday, August 22 : Cardio Tennis Instructor Workshop
Learn how to deliver high-energy workouts through Cardio Tennis! This workshop will enhance your training delivery, incorporating agility ladders, progressions, CEUs, and much more.
