WHAT IS A COMMUNITY TENNIS ASSOCIATION?
USTA Community Tennis Associations are not-for-profit, volunteer-based organizations supporting programs that grow the game of tennis at the local level. Those who run and volunteer for CTAs are tennis enthusiasts who help their CTA to advocate, administer programs, promote play and fundraise. CTAs are eligible for a number of grants to help promote tennis in their communities. Last year in North Carolina, over $200,000 was distributed to CTAs in support of their efforts.
CTAs play a critical role in the growth of tennis in their areas. At their best, CTAs are advocates and connectors within their communities. They partner with numerous tennis stakeholders to support, deliver, and improve tennis for all. You can see in the graphic below the many ways CTAs can contribute to their communities.
